Fat Burning Exercise
More often than not, people who attend to classes in the gym aim at burning body fat and replacing it with lean muscle. therefore, they choose fitness classes and routines that they deem fit for these objective to be achieved. It is important to note that the amount of fat burned out during a workout depends on an individual's body fat percentage.
Fitness levels attained by an individual depends on three major factors; frequency, intensity and duration. To attain maximal results for fat burning, one should train at least 3 to 5 days a week. This ensures that the basal metabolic rate of the body is maintained to continue burning body fat even after workouts. Depending on the age, sex and body fat of an individual, exercise intensity should be able to boost the heart rate to a tune of 60% - 90%. Aerobics classes, the body uses glycogen and sugars within the muscles for energy within the first 15 - 20 min. It is only after 25 - 30 min that the body, actually, starts to use body fat as a source of energy. With this in mind it is, beneficial for one to take up an aerobics classes that run for at least 30 minutes. These kind of exercise helps the body raise its basal metabolic rate thus adapting to constant fat burning regime.
However, it is important to note that increasing exercise frequency, intensity and duration beyond the desired limits only brings about diminishing returns. This is because the body does not get enough time to rest and recover. Therefore, it is important to adopt proper eating habits to overcome these stresses placed on the body.
